frozen moments
It’s ironic on a whole new level that someone
who has no faith in marriage started a company
that has everything to do with weddings.
It has been close to 4 years and I have begun to romanticize weddings and
the drama associated with it.
It was the adrenaline that encouraged me
to take up weddings and somehow that has been
the only thing that has been driving me
to shoot more weddings.
Each wedding teaches me something that
I hold on to
and here’s to my little scrap book;
I hope you like it as much as I love it

Long distance relationships work!!
We had to witness it to see it for ourselves; and we did. Frankly, they should write a book on how they made it work. We were just excited we got a chance to shoot it. The wedding had a lot of flavors with the bride from the south and the groom from Kolkata. The fact that the bride changed wardrobe 4 times during the course of a single day wedding and we got the chance to shoot 2 styles of wedding at the same time; was all that we could ask for and to top that we had a big group of friends to play an integral part of the ‘Love Story’ was like icing on the cake. One of those weddings where we wished that it could have been longer so we could shoot more and that is something that we don’t feel that often.

A drive in the car was what started the journey for this couple and had brought them to this day with some meticulous planning and attention to detail. We heard from the couple on what they had been through to get to this day and our duty was to ensure that our photos brought that out on their special day. We were impressed with how this wedding had brought so many people together, not just from different communities, but from different generations. This wedding joins the big list of cross community weddings that we have done for this year and we secretly hope that it continues because there is always fun in mixing things up. Though we didn’t get to shoot 2 different weddings however, we loved by how one single wedding included rituals from 2 different communities to become one.
For us, it just meant more colors in our photographs and we can’t ask for more.

Alas .. a client who is Facebook friendly .. we get to feature them here !!Delhi has never let me down when it comes to weddings, every bit of it stands up to the expectation. The colors, the planning and who can stop oneself from shooting aunties dancing and going footloose. This one will be special to me; took me back to basics. I was the only one shooting the entire event; no assistants, 2 bodies, no back up photographers and heck .. I was the one shooting the group photos in the reception too. Kinna reminds that I can fall back on myself when a few things go wrong and can easily handle the entire event except the body pain before I hit the bed every night. I have to give credit to the client in having full faith in me and resting the complete responsibility on me (seriously no flashing beam guns nor annoying cousins shooting with their IPADS).

A sober but not so sober Punjabi Wedding. That should sum up the event but to add the extreme fast riding of the bikes, some well planned and executed shots and just a load of fun !!
The fact that we had just a few days to wrap the shoot and deliver ASAP just doubled the adrenaline for us. Timing the shots the way we wanted and the couple falling in our frames just the way we wanted is something that a photographer can dream and this happened perfectly with us on this shoot. And like we had asked for a little more; we had everyone enjoy the wedding and help us create the 'perfect wedding'

You know when you ask a client one question about the event and you get all the details you need; you know that he is really excited about the wedding and it is gonna be great fun. After the meeting with Leslie Anthony Doray, I knew that it was going to be nothing but FUN. Its been some time that I have been in a wedding where mostly everyone is on their toes; and I was glad that this wedding brought me back memories and reason why I get the adrenaline shots when I shoot weddings. Overall it was a grand party and we enjoyed shooting every bit of it !!

San wanted to do this from the first phone call he had with the client. We had a ton of video work that had been piled up but then he wanted this shoot. So I will quote what he had to say rather than adding my own words here. Quote " There is bound to be fun if the marriage is planned by the couple and you can expect a lot of roller coaster rides; there were loads in this one. I was more than glad that the couple let me sit in seat one and witness every bit of it. Most of all, what gets me with 'love marriages' are the little things and the adverse effects they bring on the couple; but what I enjoy the most is how these little things take them on a drama high, but the end of the day how the relationship between them takes over and fixes them. Thanks to my job, I can sit back and watch these love stories happen in real time. Though I didn't get to see the whole show (thanks to my flight), I am lucky to have been a part of it." End of day he picked up some lovely bangles which was very difficult to believe he picked up with his shopping skills
